SHORT BIOGRAPHICAL OUTLINE Gianfranco Scafidi is born in Melito Porto Salvo (RC) on 24th April 1976. He attends the Artistic High School "Mattia Preti" and then graduates in Sculpture from the Art Academy of Reggio Calabria in 1997. In 2000 he qualifies as a teacher of Plastic Disciplines, Drawing, Art History and Art Education. In 2002 he begins his career as school teacher and touristic animator. In 2007 he obtains a teaching post of Art Education at Vibo Valentia Local Education Authority. At the same time, he constantly continues his artistic formation, attending and organizing collective and personal exhibitions in Italy and abroad. He has been involved in social volunteering for many years. Since 2007 he works as a teacher of Artistic Education at the comprehensive schools of Acquaro (VV), Dasà (VV) and Piani (VV). |
